» Puppets For Praise

» Puppets for Praise is an outreach ministry of First Christian Church of Jasper. It began as a teen project and has evolved into a wonderful outreach into Jasper and other areas of Georgia. Puppets for Praise performs in parades, arts and craft shows, schools, nursing homes and churches. Our puppeteers have been trained by professionals and are continually honing their craft. As our puppet ministry has grown, there has been an increasing need for the addition of a props crew to help us create our newer and more complicated shows. We are definitely a ‘road show’ and bring all necessary equipment with us, and are set up to accommodate whatever type of function is needed whether it is outside on the blacktop, on a trailer, or inside a building.

»Our puppet team will be attending a workshop in March to improve their puppetry skills in areas including stage performance, technical magic, props and costumes,designing shows, and avdvanced puppetry, and also to train new puppeteers to expand the team. The team has just completed their most complicated show ever to The W's "The Devil is Bad" using props and scenery, but they are looking forward to learning new and exciting techniques through this workshop to make their outreach to the community better and stronger.

» Each puppet has a personality of his/her own. It is amazing when these personalities become evident in our shows.

Suzzy Q is the redhead who loves to blow kisses.

Tiffany is an African American who is a friend to everyone.

  
Raphael and Maria are our Hispanic children. “Raphie” is very much a ‘ham’ with personality plus and Maria is our very shy little girl.

Gerbert is the famous television personality.

The children love Lazarus, better known as Lazzy, our yellow haired lead singer.

Leo the Lion is the lion who sometimes thinks he’s a kitty rather than a lion. He is also the lead in our Fire Safety skit.

 
Wilbur is the bald-headed grandpa of the group and Wilma is the ‘mom’ of the group.

» Puppets for Praise offers a variety of shows ranging from pre-school children shows, VBS shows, teen shows, to even nursing home shows. We tailor our shows to fit the audience and the occasion. We love for audiences to laugh, clap and praise God while we are lifting God up through this unique ministry. All the glory and recognition for our puppets goes to God, not us. We always leave our shows feeling very blessed and privileged to have shared Christ through our puppets.

» Our goal and prayer is that Christ is demonstrated through music, skits, and our lives, and that He is uplifted and honored. We desire growth and expansion through the addition of new puppeteers and props people as our church grows.
